Multi user KVM server and device management

The DX system 2.0 is a multi-functional, hardware based KVM & Serial matrix switching system for the data center environment. The DX system streamlines data center management by centralizing a number of functions that normally require separate utilities. The DX provides seamless control of servers and Serial devices, power management of all hardware devices, and multi level administration of all users and groups.
The DX addresses the need for scalable, 24/7 BIOS/console-level centralized management of high-density mission-critical network environments. The system provides IT managers with a secure, unified solution for management and control of all mission critical servers, all serial hardware and all user profiles.
DX is powered by AIM, innovative HW/SW technology that allows rich functionality while remaining a pure hardware solution. It looks like software, performs like software but behaves like hardware.
AIM, like the OSD that it replaces, is embedded in the hardware itself, and thus provides the benefits of a visual management system while remaining both operating system independent and network independent.
The AIM GUI provides visual point and click management, allowing users to view up to dozens of servers on screen at one time. The GUI enhances the security of the system by automatically hiding servers and devices from users who don't have access rights to them. Physical cascading and network topology are also transparent to users.
The DX provides many upscale features common to software management systems, but relatively new to control of network hardware. Embedded management provides a seamless interface with the in-band network. Both out-of-band and in-band devices are managed and controlled with similar GUI-based interfaces, for a unified user experience.
The KVM system can communicate with the in-band network through both IP and SNMP. Embedded management also provides redundancy with the in-band network, including the ability to download backup files and restore database information.
