Simultaneous remote and local access to servers
The Smart 216 IP and Smart 232 IP enables one local and two remote users, access and control of 16 to 32 servers. In addition, two remote users can operate serial sessions for controlling serial devices such as routers, managed network switches or PDU's. The DX system provides IT managers with a secure, unified solution for management and control of all mission critical servers, all serial hardware and all user profiles.

Combined KVM switch and rack console for total control
It is the most efficient and effective way to control and manage servers in a rack and is ideal for those who need both the console and the switch together. Minicom has created an at-the-rack access to server’s solution called the SmartRack for those professionals that prefer the hands on approach. It is an all-in-one solution for server rack control, combining a rack drawer seamlessly integrated with a 16 port KVM switch. It’s preferable to buy both units together from a single manufacturer, ensuring its interoperability, rather than buying two units separately that may or may not be compatible.

Control computers up to 300m/1000ft away
KVM extension solutions provide additional flexibility to your KVM management and control systems, by allowing you to set up local KVM consoles at varying distances from the computer or server. Some extenders allow distances of up to 300m/1000ft.
The real test of an extender, however, is not the distance but the quality of video for the distance. Better performing KVM extenders will provide near-local user experience at the console, even if it is relatively far away from the computer.

Manage more servers with less cable and less clutter
Today's 1U servers save valuable rack space, but don't solve the cable problem. Until now, more servers meant more cables, and more cables meant more clutter.
The multi-user, multi-platform Phantom systems use Minicom's proprietary distributed switching technology for scalable, flexible server management in today's high-density server and rack environments where space and cable management is of critical importance.
