The Smart 108 IP/116 IP gives system administrators secure, web-based access, control and management to a rack of up to 8/16 servers, either remotely or locally. The rack mountable, 1U sized switch features innovative ROC (KVM over CAT5) technology that directly connects the Smart 108 IP/116 IP to each server in the rack, eliminating cable clutter and providing up to 30m/100ft between the server and switch.

The Smart 108/116 offers the option of exclusive mode, where users can choose not to share sessions with any other users. With the Smart 108 IP/116 IP, administrators can configure user access rights, with advanced OSD management that has multi-layer security for both local and remote users.

BIOS level, mixed platform access

As an out-of-band solution, the Smart 108 IP/116 IP lets users connect directly to servers at the BIOS level and offers access and control over mixed platforms, including PS/2 and USB devices. The Smart 108 IP/116 IP also supports multiple platforms for client computers: Windows OS (with Internet Explorer or Firefox) and Linux OS (with Firefox).
