Smart IP firmware updates for hardware revision 02 and 03

103 01.00.03 If you want to upgrade to builds newer then 103 you should upgrade to the build 103 first 2003-05-26

Updating firmware:
Save the firmware file on the client system. Unzip the file to temporary folder.
    To update the firmware:
  1. Ensure that Smart IP connected to the computer and the computer is switched on. If you upgrading the Phantom MX IP or Smart 16 IP, ensure that power supply to the unit won't be interrupted during the update process.
  2. Log on the Smart IP with administrator permissions.
  3. On the Maintenance page check that the unit's hardware revision matches to the downloaded firmware file.
  4. From the Maintenance page of the Smart IP Menu choose Update Firmware. The Update Firmware page appears.
  5. Locate and upload the file from your local system. In case of any errors the upload will be aborted.
  6. After a correct upload the Update Firmware page appears showing the current firmware version number and the uploaded firmware version number.
  7. Press the Update button. The Smart IP starts to update the firmware.
    Warning! This process is irreversible; ensure the Smart IP's power supply won't be interrupted during the update process, as this may cause damage.
  8. When prompted reset Smart IP manually.30 seconds later, Smart IP runs with the new firmware. You must login again.
  9. If you were upgrading the Phantom MX IP you should recycle the power of the Phantom MX IP unit after firmware upgrade.
