Updating firmware:
Save the firmware file on the client system. Unzip the file to temporary folder.
To update the firmware:
- Ensure that Smart IP Link connected to the computer or KVM switch and the computer or KVM switch is switched on. Ensure that power supply to the computer or KVM switch and Smart IP Link won't be interrupted during the update process.
- Log on the Smart IP Link with administrator permissions.
- From the Maintenance page of the Smart IP Link choose Update Firmware. The Update Firmware page appears.
- Locate and upload the file from your client system. In case of any errors the upload will be aborted.
- After a correct upload the Update Firmware page appears showing the current firmware version number and the uploaded firmware version number.
- Press the Update button. The Smart IP Link starts to update the firmware.
Warning! This process is irreversible; ensure the Smart IP Link's power supply won't be interrupted during the update process, as this may cause damage.
- When prompted reset Smart IP Link manually. 30 seconds later, Smart IP Link runs with the new firmware. You must login again.
- If the Smart IP Link was connected to Phantom Manager unit, then you should recycle the power of the Phantom Manager unit after the firmware upgrade of Smart IP Link.
