- Phase1 firmware upgrade.
All upgrades from firmware versions 3.0.1.x to firmware version 3.0.2.x and higher will require Phase 1 upgrade before upgrading to the device specific firmware.
This firmware must be used for IP Control units prior to firmware version 3.0.2.42. First, upgrade the IP Control unit to Phase1 firmware, reboot the unit and then upgrade the unit to the latest IP Control firmware.

If device has firmware version 3.0.0.42, upgrade it to firmware version 3.0.1.39 before performing Phase1 upgrade.

Updating firmware:
Save the firmware file on the client system. Unzip the file to temporary folder.
    To update the firmware:
  1. Ensure that IP Control is connected to computer or KVM switch and computer or KVM switch is switched on. Ensure that power supply of the computer or KVM switch and IP Control won't be interrupted during the update process.
  2. Log on to IP Control configuration web page with administrator permissions. (https://{IP Address of IP Control}/config)
  3. From the menu select Firmware Upgrade. The Firmware Upgrade page appears
  4. Locate and upload the file from your client system. In case of any errors the upload will be aborted.
  5. Verify the current IP Control firmware and newly uploaded firmware versions.
  6. Press the 'Start Update' button. The IP Control starts to update the firmware.
    Warning! This process is irreversible; ensure the IP Control power supply won't be interrupted during the update process, as this may cause damage to the unit.
  7. When prompted press 'Reboot' button to reboot IP Control. One minute later, IP Control runs with the new firmware. You must login again.
  8. Warning! The unit may lose all user configurations except IP Settings after firmware upgrade and may revert to the factory default settings (Except the network settings which will remain unchanged). Each release contains warning if all user settings would be lost or not.

  - Phase_One_Upgrade.exe: - Movie explaining how to perform Phase 1 and Phase 2 firmware upgrades for Minicom IP devices. All upgrades from firmware versions 3.0.1.x to firmware version 3.0.2.x and higher will require Phase 1 upgrade before upgrading to the device specific firmware. The movie explains the steps and actions required for successfully completing these firmware upgrades. 9 MB.
