PX Firmware Updated
Starting from firmware version 3.0.2.1 PX units may be operated as standalone KVMIP gateways or to be managed by KVM.net Manager. When PX unit works in a standalone mode, the users and their permissions managed locally on the PX. When PX is managed by the KVM.net, the users and their permissions managed in KVM.net Manager.
Firmware files below are for standalone upgrade only. Standalone firmware upgrade performed from the PX Configuration web page. Please contact Minicom Technical Support department for PX firmware upgrade from KVM.net Manager Interface.

All upgrades from firmware versions 3.0.1.x to firmware version 3.0.2.42 and higher will require Phase 1 upgrade before upgrading to the device specific firmware. This firmware must be used for PX units with firmware version 3.0.1.x only. First, upgrade the PX unit to Phase1 firmware, reboot the unit and then upgrade the unit to the latest PX firmware. Restore device factory setting after upgrading to firmware version 3.0.2.42 or higher by pressing the PX reset button. Download the short movie, explaining Phase1 and Phase2 firmware upgrade procedure: Phase_One_Upgrade.exe - 9MB. If device has firmware version 3.0.0.42, upgrade it to firmware version 3.0.1.39 before performing Phase1 upgrade. |

Updating firmware:
Save the firmware file on the client system. Unzip the file to temporary folder.
To update the firmware:
- Ensure that PX unit is connected to computer and computer is switched on. Ensure that power supply of the computer and PX won't be interrupted during the update process.
- Log on to PX configuration web page with administrator permissions. (https://{IP Address of PX}/config)
- From the menu select Firmware Upgrade. The Firmware Upgrade page appears
- Locate and upload the file from your client system. In case of any errors the upload will be aborted.
- Verify the current PX firmware and newly uploaded firmware versions.
- Press the 'Start Update' button. The PX starts to update the firmware.
Warning! This process is irreversible; ensure the PX PoE power supply won't be interrupted during the update process, as this may cause damage to the unit.
- When prompted press 'Reboot' button to reboot the PX. One minute later, PX runs with the new firmware. You must login again.
- Warning! The unit may lose all user configurations except IP Settings after firmware upgrade and may revert to the factory default settings (Except the network settings which will remain unchanged). Each release contains warning if all user settings would be lost or not.
