If your Smart 216 / 232 Switch System works properly you shouldn't update its firmware. You may need to reboot your computers after firmware update of the RoCs.

Firmware Update Includes firmware upgrade for Smart 216 Switch p/n 0SU22090 / 1SU22090, Smart 232 Switch p/n 0SU22091 / 1SU22091

Updating the Unit firmware:
Save the firmware file on the client system. Unzip the file to temporary folder.
To update the Unit firmware:
- Ensure that power supply of the Smart 216 / 232 Switch won't be interrupted during the update process.
- Log on to Smart 216 / 232 Switch configuration web page with administrator permissions. (https://{IP Address of Smart 216/232 Kvm Switch})
- From the menu select Firmware Upgrade. The Firmware Upgrade page appears
- First Locate and upload the Smart 216/232 Switch update file from your client system (the file should contain the the text "..UPDATE_V..").
- Press the 'Start Update' button. Wait until the process is completed, this may take some time. at the end of the process the Smart 216 / 232 will restart
Warning! This process is irreversible; ensure the Smart 216 / 232 Switch power supply won't be interrupted during the update process, as this may cause damage to the unit.
- Warning! The unit may lose all user configurations except IP Settings after firmware upgrade and may revert to the factory default settings (Except the network settings which will remain unchanged). Each release contains warning if all user settings would be lost or preserved.
